Treason charges against Donald Trump were filed this week in Washington during the divisive G-7 summit which saw Trump boldly lobbying on behalf of Russia for its reinstatement to the summit. The lobbying efforts are expected to further bolster the case against Trump, which has been largely based on his failure to respond to Russian election interference. The shocking revelations this week that Trump was deemed a security risk and kept out of key meetings held at the summit are apparently coincidental. Theresa May has spear-headed a G7 rapid response unit in the face of hostile state actions such as Russia's recent attempted murder of Sergei Skripal and his daughter on British soil, an attack that also endangered dozens of British lives with a military grade and extremely potent nerve agent. May ensured Trump was kept out of the meetings for security reasons.

A multi-disciplinary Harvard research project which sought to 'refresh' the definition of the term terrorist was leaked this week. Its aim was to look at the concept of terrorism considering this century's realities. The year-long project was completed with the participation of the United Nations. Dozens of example applications of the proposed new definition, which appears below, are included in the research. Sarah Huckabee Sanders easily made the list, according to the carefully argued and ranked evaluations included in the report.
TERRORISM:The systematic use of destructive acts (including, but not limited to violence) committed by groups in order to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands especially as a means of coercion.
I spoke with one of the authors of the paper in an effort to gain more insight into the Sarah Sanders ranking. I was told "there's a reason why Sarah was referred to as Aunt Lydia in Michelle Wolf's recent act at the White House Correspondent's dinner (see the YouTube clip below). And there's a reason why Juli Briskman, the woman who flipped Trump while cycling past his motorcade is now suing her employer for firing her for it." The reason he's referring to is reflected in this quote from an article in the Washington Post ...

The paper makes for fascinating reading. Trump of course makes the cut, but he didn't in earlier versions of the revised definition. Several earlier versions included the term 'political'. There was broad consensus that it is not at all clear that Trump is motivated by politics.

Articles such as this recent article in the Washington Post, belie the long-standing question of Trump's personal wealth, a question intensified by his failure to release his tax returns despite repeated promises to do so. An unprecedented, coordinated effort by an international group of financial gurus led by Fortune Magazine has re-evaluated Trump's wealth. The stunning result hit today's newspapers.
Forbes Magazine, and other institutions like it, do not rely on tax returns in order to assess wealth for lists like the "Forbes 400" wealthiest list. The process relies on interviews, investigative business journalism, close examination of available financial records and a wealth of other business knowledge, history and experience. It has yielded reliable results, into which a lot of deliberation and care has gone. Keep in mind these results matter a lot to many of the people on the list who themselves have a wealth of business knowledge, history and experience. The discovery that Trump managed to thwart the process, erroneously appearing on the Forbes 400 list (through sheer bombastic charm no less) led to the intense re-evaluation effort. It has long been understood that The Donald is very, very, very heavily leveraged, but the astonishing result which calculates his worth at -$3.5B is still a shock. Yes, that is a minus sign. This may seem impossible even to the financially astute - but the vastness and complexity underlying Trump's tangled international business affairs have managed to obscure the total picture - itself an astonishing result considering the amounts involved.
Trump's popularity, already the lowest in history, has dropped 25 points. It stands at an utterly unprecedented 12.8%. The 'something' that evidently affects Trump's base is finally revealed. With an apparently unsupportable president in place, protestors in the hundreds of thousands are expected to hit the streets this weekend.
